The Plant Index section displays -in 7 languages- the lists of all the plants available in the A.M.I. Encyclopedia. For each plant and each language, the Index lists the common name and synonyms known: it helps you find a plant rapidly by the name you have. For example: Hibiscus can also be accessed under Roselle and Red Sorrel.
The Plant Index presents two display modes for visualising: list or photos (the link to activate one or the other is located just below the alphabet), the list mode allows a quick overview, the photos mode allows an illustrated navigation.
Whatever the search language used (Italian, Portuguese, German, Latin...), by clicking on a plant, you will access to its detailed file. The plant detailed files are all available in French and English: you can switch from one version to another at any time, via the ‘English version' and ‘Version française' links in the upper right corner of the screen.
To view the name correspondences from one language to another (for example from Spanish to German), get directly to the detailed file of the plant you are interested in, and more precisely on the first tab ‘Translations and synonyms'.
